E-DWT-H breaks new ground in dead weight tester calibration, improving the hydraulic pressure calibration process. E-DWT-H is an electronic calibrator designed to replace mechanical, piston-cylinder and weight based deadweight testers. It’s a lighter, easier-to-use deadweight tester calibration alternative that is at home in the lab or instrument shop, as well as in the field performing in-situ calibrations and tests. This complete hydraulic pressure calibration system combines the convenience and precision of continuous, realtime electronic pressure measurement with the simple and direct operation of high quality operator controlled pressure generation hardware. E-DWT-H one year measurement uncertainty is ± 0.02 % of reading with ranges up to 30,000 psi. It can be configured to provide this uncertainty from its full scale down to 1 % of its range. Built-in pressure generation and control hardware allow the operator to fill and prime the system under test and generate and precisely adjust pressure throughout the range with ease.

AutoTest™ lets E-DWT operators quickly define test points and adjust all of the range-dependent settings with a single function.
The resolution and stability test used by the RPM4-E-DWT are set according to the range of the device under test. The upper limit setting is also set and provides range-based warnings and overpressure protection. While running AutoTests, the operator is prompted to set each sequential test point and test data is stored in the RPM4-E-DWT for recall or download. Typical test setup is quick and easy, but more complex tests can also be stored and reused.

Deadweight tester calibration performance with digital measurement convenience
E-DWT-H offers precision, low measurement uncertainty and the stability over time of a conventional deadweight tester without the inconveniences associated with the piston-cylinders, weights, hand pumps, and interconnecting plumbing.

Versatility to cover a broad workload in a variety of environments
The E-DWT-H is at home in metrology and calibration labs, on the production floor or in the field. It operates with Sebacate calibration fluid, mineral oil, Skydrol® and other liquids. An optional battery/charger pack supports up to eight hours of operation away from line power.

The Fluke Calibration 2271A Industrial Pressure Calibrator provides a complete, automated pressure testing solution for calibrating a wide variety of pressure gauges and sensors. The 2271A is compatible with modules at two different accuracy classes, to provide maximum flexibility in workload and budget.  The PM200 modules provide 0.02% FS for most ranges (see specification tab for details).  The PM500 modules provide 0.01% Reading, allowing the 2271A to be used to test or calibrate higher accuracy transmitters and digital gauges.

The Fluke 1586A Super‑DAQ is the most accurate and flexible temperature data acquisition system on the market. It scans and records temperature, dc voltage, dc current, and resistance for up to 40 input channels and scan speeds as fast as 10 channels per second. The Super-DAQ can be configured for use as a multi-channel data logger in the factory or as a precision reference thermometer for benchtop sensor calibration in the lab.

The Fluke 1586A Super-DAQ collects time-stamped precision temperature and electrical measurements for data analysis by technicians, engineers, and quality control personnel to verify process control, analyze interactive systems, ensure conformance to quality standards, or to correlate related events for R&D or troubleshooting. Measurement data and statistics can be viewed in tabular format for all active channels. With the graphing feature, up to four channels can be plotted at the same time, making it easy to quickly assess test setup and results before analyzing the data on a PC.  

When configured with the DAQ-STAQ Multiplexer, the Super-DAQ has the accuracy of the best benchtop reference thermometer readouts for calibration of PRTs, RTDs, thermistors, or thermocouples. The triple point of water (TPW) is not only the most accurate and fundamental temperature standard available, it’s also one of the least expensive and simplest to use.

Water cells are essential!

Triple point of water cells fill four critical purposes. First, they provide the most reliable way to identify unacceptable thermometer drift between calibrations—including immediately after a calibration if the thermometer has been shipped. Interim checks are critical for maintaining confidence in thermometer readings between calibrations. Second, they provide a critical calibration point with unequaled uncertainties.

Third, for users who characterize probes using ratios (that is, they use the ratios of the resistances at various ITS-90 fixed points to the resistance of the thermometer at the triple point of water, indicated by “W"), interim checks at the triple point of water allow for quick and easy updates to the characterizations of critical thermometer standards, which can be used to extend calibration intervals.

And lastly, the triple point of water is where the practical temperature scale (ITS-90) and the thermodynamic temperature scale meet, since the triple point of water is assigned the value 273.16 K (0.01 °C) by the ITS-90 and the Kelvin is defined as 1/273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water.

Good triple point of water cells contain only pure water and pure water vapor. (There is almost no residual air left in them.) When a portion of the water is frozen correctly and water coexists within the cell in its three phases, the “triple point of water" is realized. Fluke Calibration water cells achieve this temperature with expanded uncertainties of less than 0.0001 °C and reproducibilities within 0.00002 °C.

In simple terms, water cells are made from just glass and water, but there’s much more to it than that!

Fluke Calibration 6109A / 7109A Portable Calibration Baths

Now there are portable calibration baths (Fluke Calibration 6109A & 7109A) designed with the process manufacturing professional in mind. Process manufacturing plants for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and food production utilize many sanitary temperature sensors that require regular calibration. Production must stop during temperature sensor calibration. Therefore, more calibration throughput means less plant downtime. The Fluke Calibration 6109A and 7109A Portable Calibration Baths are liquid baths that let process industry professionals calibrate four times more sanitary sensors per batch in less time and with twice the accuracy of other portable baths in this class.
