Product Information
The CELLGUARD™ Wireless Battery Monitoring System (BMS) provides an accurate and reliable indication of battery state-of-health through monitoring and analysis of battery voltage, temperature, and conductance.
Get remote access to the information you need to proactively maintain your stationary power systems and avoid costly downtime. With solid noise immunity, the CELLGUARD™ Wireless Battery Monitoring System is suited for applications including power utilities, data centers, telecommunications systems, and DC systems with filtered AC electrical ripple.

The CELLGUARD™ Wireless Battery Monitoring System is capable of monitoring up to 16 battery strings, with 300 batteries per string, and supports up to 600 sensors per BCU.
BATTERY SENSOR MODULE Connects to and is powered from the monitored battery, minimizing wiring, installation costs and maintenance. Monitoring capabilities include conductance, voltage, strap resistance and temperature for each mono-block/cell /jar. Compatible with VRLA and VLA batteries. |
BASE COORDINATOR UNIT Manages battery sensor test activities, collects test data and communicates to Converge web interface via TCIP/IP, and is powered by the battery string voltage converter via battery string power. Supports MODBUS TCP/IP to integrate with building infrastructure. |
VISUAL STATE-OF-HEALTH
Battery state-of-health is provided at the hardware level. Each sensor has three modes of LED notification to display the batteries current status, allowing personnel to quickly pinpoint batteries that require attention.
BLINKING GREEN Indicates no issues with the batter |
BLINKING YELLOW Indicates a warning that the battery readings are out of warning limits. |
BLINKING RED Indicates an alarm that the battery readings are out of alarm limits. |

The CONVERGE™ Web Interface that comes standard with all CELLGUARD™ Wireless Battery Monitoring Systems allows personnel to configure, update, and monitor an entire network remotely.

STRING & BATTERY STATUS
Get a complete state-of-health assessment of each battery and string with real-time access to battery voltage, temperature, conductance, and inter-cell connection resistance.

OVERVIEW
Get a quick and concise visual overview of alarms and warnings for every battery in your system.

CONFIGURATION
Two-way communication inside your network allows for remote configuration, setup, changes, and firmware updates. This eliminates the need to roll a truck to a site which can be costly and time consuming. Configurations can be downloaded and saved or used to program additional sites with similar configurations.

TOOLS
Remotely update the BCU and sensor firmware, configure Modbus, force manual voltage, temperature, and conductance tests and perform a system reset.
|
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION Installation cost and time are reduced with the system’s wireless communication capabilities which enable all hardware to communicate to the Base controller free of cabling. |
|
|
ACCURATE CONDUCTANCE MONITORING Conductance-based monitoring technology provides the most accurate, efficient, and non-invasive method possible for monitoring a battery’s state-of-health. |
|
|
ADVANCED HARDWARE Comprised of a Base Coordinator Unit (BCU) and single-battery sensor modules, the system provides both visual and digital battery state-of-health and is capable of monitoring up to 16 battery strings, up to 300 sensors per string, and up to 600 sensors per BCU (irrespective of how they are divided by strings). |
|
|
CUTTING-EDGE WEB INTERFACE The highly intuitive CONVERGE™ web interface enables rapid, confident installation, remote system monitoring, alarm threshold configuration, rock-solid reporting (including granular discharge data gathering), and critical over-the-air sensor firmware updates. |
