Low noise floor and a wide dynamic range for accurate measurements
System Dynamic range, the difference between the measurement power available at the test port and the noise floor of the receiver, is a critical parameter of a VNA. The SIGLENT SNA5000A offers a dynamic range up to 125 dB @ 10 Hz IFBW, a noise floor down to -125 dBm/Hz, and simultaneously meets specific RF test requirements such as test passband and out-of-band filter rejection.
Abundant measurements and display formats
SNA5000A supports scattering-parameter measurement, differential-parameter measurement, receiver measurement, time-domain parameter analysis, limit test, ripple test, enhanced time-domain parameter analysis (TDR).
There are shortcuts to add traces and windows to perform full 4-port S-parameter measurements. Various display formats, including Log Mag, Lin Mag, Phase, Delay, Smith, SWR, and Polar, provide a convenient way to analyse DUT transmission and reflection coefficients, SWR, impedance match, phase, and delay. In antenna and filter manufacturing, reference trace and limit test is an efficiency booster for production.
Enhanced Time-Domain Analysis (TDR)

The SNA5000A TDR option contains two parts: TDR/TDT(Time Domain Reflection/Transmission) and Eye/Mask.

TDR intuitively displays the position and characteristics of impedance discontinuities. It can indicate the impedance of every point along the transmission line, and helps to locate fault points. With time-domain gating, you can easily eliminate the effects of certain types of mismatch. It helps to analyse the effects of malfunctions on the DUT’s characteristics.

Without an external generator, it can generate an eye diagram using an internal virtual pattern generator. Eye/Mask is a genuine signal integration analysis tool.
Eye function provides a high-performance waveform simulation ability. Without changing external connections, it can easily improve signal transmission quality at the transmit end by applying pre-emphasis/de-emphasis technology, while at the receive end, applying equalisation.
Eye function also provides a jitter injection function to simulate jittered signals and observe their effects on signal transmission.

Extend the Power to Multiport Devices
SSM single unit can expand the output ports to 24 and can be easily integrated, greatly adapting to the automatic test system and production line scenarios. The multi-port measurement capability of a VNA can improve test throughput, thereby significantly reducing device test costs. Typical applications include design, verification and production of antennas, data converter interfaces, automatic test of RF components and other devices, etc.

Scalar/Vector Mixer Measurement
The function supports various sweep modes, such as linear frequency, power, and segment sweeps, and allows flexible parameter settings, including source port power, LO port power, and attenuation. The four-port model has built-in dual signal sources, and the second source can be used as the LO or provide the LO signal by controlling an external signal generator. The calibration wizard guides the user through the calibration process to obtain comprehensive, accurate measurements of mixer/converter characteristics.
Gain Compression Measurement
The function can measure compression and linear parameters over the operating frequency range with a single connection and calibration. It supports three data acquisition modes and provides linear gain compression, max gain compression, back-off compression, X/Y compression, and saturation compression methods to flexibly meet complex test requirements and ensure comprehensive and accurate characterisation of the device’s nonlinear behaviour.
