  • Fluke PQ400 Three Phase Electrical Measurement Window

Introducing the Fluke PQ400 Electrical Measurement Window— the safer, easier way to make three-phase power quality measurements.

The Fluke PQ400 Electrical Measurement Window is a permanently installed interface that allows you to make three phase measurement connections on energized panels, without opening the panel door. Once installed, the PQ400 Electrical Measurement Window gives you access to critical power quality and energy data while decreasing testing time and helping you to maintain safety.

Use the PQ400 Electrical Measurement Window to reduce the risk of arc flash and electrocution when making power quality and energy measurements, increasing the safety of your personnel and reducing the need for supplemental personal protective equipment. With permanently connected voltage and current sensors located inside the electrical panel you can make power quality and energy measurements using the external access points all without opening the panel door. Three phase voltage, current, neutral and ground connects are designed to cover most measurement scenarios, and with full 360-degree rotation you can install the PQ400 window in whichever orientation you choose.

  • Determine site orientation with the Fluke Solar Irradiance

Use the integrated compass on the Fluke IRR1-SOL Irradiance Meter to measure and document roof or site orientation.

+ First perform irradiance, temperature and inclination measurements with the meter turned on and aligned with the panel.

+ If the tilt is above 20 degrees, any compass reading will be inaccurate. The metal in the panel or other surrounding metal objects will also affect the compass reading. This is why another step is necessary to verify the direction.

+ Position the meter away from the panel and any other metal objects and with the tip of the meter facing in the same direction as the panel.

    + Confirm your compass reading.

  • Find Inclination of a Panel with the Fluke Solar Irradiance Meter

The Fluke IRR1-SOL Irradiance Meter has a built-in inclination sensor that lets you know the roof or solar panel tilt when surveying, installing or adjusting the installation.

+ Simply place the Irradiance Meter directly onto the solar panel to get accurate tilt.

+ For surfaces of rooftops with inclinations different than 0°, place the meter on the ground and push the ZERO button for 2 seconds to reset the angle.

+ Then, measure the true inclination of the solar panel.

Get 4 critical photovoltaic measurements in one easy-to-use tool when surveying, installing or adjusting your solar installation. Visit Fluke.com to find out more.

  • Photovoltaic System Measurements with the Fluke Solar Irradiance Meter

he IRR1 irradiance meter is the perfect tool to conduct comprehensive tests and measurements on photovoltaic systems. It provides four key measurements all in one tool: irradiance, temperature, tilt, and compass degree.

Irradiation is a critical metric to consider when conducting a survey or inspection of a solar installation.

    1. IRRADIANCE: The Fluke IRR1 irradiance meter instantaneously measures solar irradiance up to 1400 watts per square meter. In addition to irradiance, solar professionals need to measure the temperature of the surfaces of a photovoltaic panel.

+ TEMPERATURE: The Fluke irradiance meter comes with an integrated temperature sensor that allows users to measure the top of a solar panel, simply by placing the unit on the surface. To measure the temperature of the back of the panel, the Fluke Irradiance Meter comes with an attachable, external probe.

+ TILT: Tilt angle of a solar panel is important to maximize efficiency. Identify the ideal inclination of a panel by enabling the tilt function. For scenarios where the rooftop is not level, use the Zero function to calculate the real tilt.

+ COMPASS DEGREE: The location and direction of a panel determines the amount of irradiation absorbed. Get the direction of the panel in degrees by using the compass function on the IRR1 irradiance meter.
