The Fluke 500 Series Battery Analyser is the ideal test tool for maintenance, troubleshooting and performance testing of individual stationary batteries and battery banks used in critical battery backup applications.
Some key features of the Fluke 500 Series include:
• Battery Voltage – During the internal resistance test, Fluke Battery Analysers also measure the voltage of the battery under test
• Discharge Volts – The Discharge mode collects the voltage of each battery multiple times at a user-defined interval during a discharge or load test. Users can calculate the time a battery takes to drop to the cut-off voltage and use this time to determine the capacity loss of the battery
• Ripple Voltage Test – Measures unwanted residual ac component of the rectified voltage in dc charging and inverter circuits. Allows users to test ac components in dc charging circuits and find one of the root causes of battery deterioration
• Meter and Sequence Modes – The Meter mode is used for quick tests or troubleshooting. In this mode, you can save and read the readings in a measurement or time sequence. The Sequence mode is for maintenance tasks with multiple power systems and battery strings. Before a task starts, users can configure a profile for the task for data management and report generation
•Threshold and Warning – Users can configure a maximum of 10 sets of thresholds and receive a Pass/ Warning/ Fail indication after each measurement.
• Intercell Strap Resistance Test and Data Management – Measures the resistance of the intercell connection between batteries in a string. Once the measurements are completed Fluke Battery Management Software version 1.0.69 can now report the strap resistance for a battery string or historical data over time and much more.

Since May 20, 1875, when representatives of 17 nations signed the Metre Convention, the world has agreed upon one, uniform measurement system–celebrated through World Metrology Day. Over the years this system has been adjusted and adapted to changes in technology. Throughout the first three industrial revolutions, metrologists have been able to be more and more precise with their measurements which helps technology continue to advance. The digital era, or the fourth industrial revolution, is no different. Metrology plays a huge role in IoT, technology, and digitization.
Fluke Chief Corporate Metrologist Jeff Gust, Metrologist Nicholas Mason, and Software Metrologist Michael Brown explain how metrology is playing a huge role in the digital era and will continue to help advance technology in all industries.

The invisible threat….now you can see
Partial Discharge is a very serious issue that you are scanning for every day. Whether you are scanning insulators, transformers, switch gears or high-voltage powerlines you need to be sure that you spot a problem quickly and early. Partial discharge that goes unchecked can cause blackouts, fires, explosions, or death from arc flashes. In addition to the danger that this can pose to the environment and human lives it also has a very steep price tag. Having equipment go down can cost millions of dollars per hour of downtime, and studies have shown that a single data centre outage could cost $8,851 per minute. On top of this, the Department of Energy estimated that outages are costing the US economy $150 billion annually.
Key areas to scan for PD
• Insulators
• Transformers
• High voltage powerlines
• Switch gears
• Arrestors
• Busbars
• High voltage coils
• Breakers
• Capacitors
Do it fast, Do it safe
The ii910 is the all-in-one tool you have been looking for when it comes to all of your leak and PD issues. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Quickly scan the area or environment and get all the pictures/videos you need with the simple one-button capture and large 7” touchscreen LCD. No additional tools or equipment are needed. Without cumbersome secondary cables or devices needed, you have full mobility and greater flexibility to swap between detecting of the leak/PD and fixing the leak/PD.
